What should a strong UX case study show?

Context and problem
Explain the situation, user, goal, constraints and problem. Give the reviewer a reason to care before revealing the solution.
Research and evidence
Show how you learned about the problem. Explain the method, key findings and limitations instead of presenting assumptions as facts.
Process
Show useful artefacts such as flows, information architecture, sketches, wireframes or prioritisation. Only include work that helps explain the thinking.
Design decisions
Explain the important choices. Compare alternatives where useful and connect decisions to user needs, evidence and constraints.
Validation and learning
Explain how you evaluated the design, what changed after feedback and what you would investigate next.
